Below you’ll find our selection of the most beautiful parks and green spaces in Luxembourg.
1- Villa Vauban park: a green setting in the heart of the city
This charming estate, filled with greenery, is located in the heart of Luxembourg City and easily accessible by public transport.
The Villa Vauban estate is an attractive, peaceful setting for an elegant outdoor feast.
Admission is free, and you’ll find a variety of chairs, benches and outdoor games to enhance your experience.
Its location, set back from the main roads, gives it an intimate character and limited influence. It’s an idyllic spot for a quiet picnic in a spot of greenery.
2- Stausei: for a meal by the water
Lac Stauséi, west of Esch-sur-Sûre, has long been Luxembourg’s favorite swimming and barbecue spot.
To whet your appetite, take advantage of the many adjacent paths for a bucolic stroll. Afterwards, enjoy a picnic overlooking the lake.
You can finish the afternoon in the sun with a refreshing swim.
3- Kaltreis Park: for an active and versatile afternoon
This park is located in XXX. It’s the perfect place to spend a whole day doing a variety of sporting activities: cycling, walking, hiking, etc. An ideal place to share convivial moments and breathe fresh air in a very peaceful setting.
4- Kinnekswiss Park: the ideal place to relax
Between the Glacis parking lot and the town center lies a small oasis of greenery, the Kinnekswiss. Last winter, a temporary ice rink was installed here. In summer, you can enjoy a series of open-air concerts called“Kinnekswiss aime …”.
In this beautiful wooded park, you can also sip a beer or other cool beverage to complement your sunny picnic.
5- Gaalgebierg Park: a family park
Easily and quickly accessible via the Passerelle, this municipal park is a place of relaxation for young and old alike. You’ll find the serenity of unspoilt nature just a stone’s throw from the hustle and bustle of the city.
The park features a series of flower gardens, formal gardens, forest paths and secluded lanes. It’s an ideal place for relaxation and leisure activities, with walking and running trails, a pétanque court, a soccer pitch, a tennis court and a basketball court.
6- Pescatore Park: a wooded area
Parc de Pascatore offers over 15,200 m2 of green space. Access is via asphalt paths, ideal for pedestrians, strollers, people with reduced mobility and cyclists.
You’ll find a lovely relaxation area with benches and a fountain. The evening lighting allows you to enjoy a picnic in the evening, while taking in the sunset.
