Summer 2022: The best places to swim in Luxembourg

We’ve been looking forward to this season with great anticipation, but summer is finally here, to our great delight. This season is synonymous with warmth, long evenings, vacations, barbecues, ice creams and much more. So we’ve decided to accompany you all summer long with special articles dedicated to this season. To kick off the festivities, we’ll be taking you to the best bathing spots in Luxembourg to get this special edition off to a good start. Because when the weather’s hot, we all want to get in the water.

1. Mondorf-les-Bains

Certainly one of Luxembourg’s most iconic places to relax and be entertained, thanks to the casino. This renowned spa estate boasts Luxembourg’s only thermal pool, with water at 36° inside and out. There’s also a freshwater pool, a variable-temperature pool, three Jacuzzis and numerous saunas.

A real wellness area where you can enjoy deckchairs in summer for a total change of scenery.

2. Strassen thermal baths

The architecture of this building is often compared to a spaceship, and you’d never expect to find an aquatic paradise here. However, the complex is packed with swimming pools, pools, slides, saunas and relaxation areas for sunbathing. There’s a friendly, family atmosphere in this unusual place, where there’s something for everyone.

3. Remich summer swimming pool

Without doubt THE most famous outdoor swimming pool in Luxembourg, or at least for cross-border commuters. Who hasn’t spent a hot summer in this pool between the pools, the diving board, the beach volleyball court and a break on the grass with an ice cream?

Every year, this aquatic complex attracts families and groups of friends looking to cool off and have fun.

4. Grevenmacher summer swimming pool

This open-air bath enjoys an idyllic setting for perfect summer afternoons, as its location is on the banks of the Moselle close to nature. The facility includes a large swimming pool for adults with diving boards, a children’s pool, a slide for endless slides and a small pool for the little ones. So everyone can enjoy this little corner of paradise.

5. Remerschen Lakes

If you miss the sea and the sun, the Rermerschen lakes, also known as the ” Baggerweieren “, seem to be the best place to find your summer bliss. It’s a veritable beach bordering the lakes, with its fair share of outdoor and aquatic activities such as paddling, rowing boats, walking, swimming and, of course, sunbathing.
