Francofolies Luxembourg 2026: the festival not to be missed

Published on 26 May 2026

Summer is off to a strong start in the Grand Duchy. From June 12 to 14, 2026, the Francofolies set up their stage at the Gaalgebierg Park in Esch-sur-Alzette. Three days of music, an international poster and an atmosphere that every student, active young person or newcomer to Luxembourg should experience at least once. We tell you everything and especially how to enjoy it without taking.

An XXL poster

This 2026 edition sees things big. On the program of the Gaalgebierg Park: Macklemore, Gims, PLK, Feu! Chatterton, Helena, Niska, Christophe Maé, Mosimann, Fatal Bazooka or even La Mano 1.9. Something to make everyone’s taste vibrate, from French rap to pop songs and electro.

The festival even overflows its main venue with a “Hors des murs” program: Terrenoire accompanied by the Orchestra of the Esch-sur-Alzette Conservatory at the Escher Theater, and a Dubfabrik evening at the Kulturfabrik. In total, more than 40 artists and nearly 40,000 festival-goers are expected over three days, in an event designed with respect for the environment and sustainable development.

On the budget side, good news for students: passes start at €59 for 1 day. It’s hard to find such dense programming at this price elsewhere in Europe.

A festival at the center of the three borders

One of the big assets of Francofolies is their location. The festival is located in the heart of Europe, in the region of the three borders: a few minutes from France, very close to Belgium, and only about twenty minutes from Luxembourg-city. Whether you live in the Grand Duchy or come from Belgium, this is the perfect opportunity for a festive weekend without going far away.

And if you’re looking for something to do in Luxembourg on weekends, beyond the concerts, Esch and its surroundings have plenty of good things to do: walks in the nature of Gaalgebierg, lively terraces, and the capital within reach by train to extend the party. Les Francofolies quickly became the highlight of a 100% Luxembourgish summer.

Staying in Luxembourg, beyond the festival

The Francofolies are just a taste of what the Grand Duchy offers to young people. With its international dynamism, professional opportunities and quality of life, Luxembourg attracts new students and expatriates every year.

The only real obstacle? The steps to settle there and the budget to live in Luxembourg, often perceived as intimidating. This is precisely where coliving changes the situation: no furniture to buy, simplified procedures, inclusive utilities and a community that facilitates integration. We focus on the essential, his life, his studies, his work… and his festival weekends!

To summarize

Les Francofolies Esch/Alzette 2026 (from 12 to 14 June) are THE summer event for young people in Luxembourg: an XXL poster, a central location, affordable prices and a unique atmosphere to enjoy with friends or roommates.
